Rowlands Castle Parish Council looking for two new councillors
Monday 26th of January 2009
Community-minded people in Rowlands Castle are being sought to fill two long-term vacancies on the parish council.
The council has not had its full compliment of nine councillors for more than a year and is keen for two local residents to step into the breach.
Parish councillors are expected to take an interest in local affairs and work on behalf of Rowlands Castle residents. Meetings are held fortnightly on Monday evening.
Clerk Jennie Hanman said: "We've been without a full quota of councillors for a long time and it is important we can get a full complement as soon as possible. If anyone would like to find out more they can come for an informal chat at the parish office."
Contact Mrs Hanman on 023 9241 3044 or visit the office at The Parish Hall, 11 Links Lane, Rowlands Castle, PO9 6AD.
