Repairs to historic buildings discussed at Community Forum

Grants for repair work on three well known buildings will be discussed at the next meeting of the Community Forum to be held in Alton.
The forum, to be held on Tuesday 23 March, at Alton Maltings Centre, Maltings Close, GU34 1DT, will focus on historic building grants.
The grant applications are as follows:
Soames Place, in Soames Lane, Ropley, requires £2,500 to go towards a specialist timber frame repairs.
The Assembly Rooms, High Street, Alton, needs for £500 towards repair and restoration of the principal staircase.
The Old Post Office, 120 London Road, Holybourne needs £1,000 towards rethatching.
The Forum will also consider an application for £1,000 towards the cost of establishing the Greening Campaign in the parishes of Bentley and Binstead.
