Patrick secures award
Thursday 18th of March 2010
A Petersfield security officer has been honoured for his initiative and dedication.
Patrick Gregory, 54, who works for ADP Security Systems, has won the Best Newcomer award in the south east region of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA)'s Annual Security Personnel Awards 2010.
Patrick, who works at East Hampshire District Council's Offices, Penns Place, was nominated for his outstanding service and ability to deal with any challenge that is presented to him.

He is capable of learning and applying himself to any requirement, which has led him to being trained in new tasks and enhancing ADP's client service.
Kerin Bush, Business Manager at ADP Security Systems, comments: "Patrick has a sense of pride and a kind nature that means he will deliver the highest level of service that he can. In one of his roles at East Hampshire District Council, Patrick's colleagues described his work as a top-notch service and we would agree. His aptitude to show initiative is particularly impressive and this was demonstrated when he voluntarily re-wrote a 30-page instructions document for officers at East Hampshire District Council as well as the checklist for locking up. This attention to detail enables all guards to provide a better quality of service. Patrick is a jolly, honest and dedicated man whom we are lucky to have working at ADP - it is not often that you find a Patrick!"
Winning officer, Patrick Gregory, said: "I am pleased to have won this award. It is a very good job to have, particularly when the country is struggling economically because security is needed even more. My job is interesting and varied and I'm never in the same place twice."
The BSIA's Security Personnel Awards, sponsored by Camberford Law plc, are presented regionally throughout the UK, with the winners going forward to the national judging phase.
The national winners will be presented with their awards at the Association's annual luncheon on 14 July at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
