If the Bordon Eco Town goes ahead, I very much hope it will be built with as much CHARACTER and QUALITY as possible, not like many of these re developed towns with UGLY, SQUARE, DRAB and BLAND buildings, simply shoved up at the CHEAPEST POSSIBLE PRICE without regard to AESTHETIC VALUE for the community. If the planners go to PETERSFIELD SQUARE, hopefully they will take a leaf out of their book. They could also visit the LION AND LAMB lane in FARNHAM which oozes character and is a very pleasant place to be. PLEASE DON'T give us these square bland buildings with these PALE COLOURED BRICKS any more - if we are going to expand, let's make it a QUALITY JOB with QUALITY and CHARACTER and KEEP THE COUNTRYSIDE as well.

With Reference to the article on p.16 relating the the "Horndean to Havant" cycle route. As a regular commuter cyclist from Horndean/Clanfield to Langstone I use the increasingly busy and dangerous stretch of the B2149 through Havant Thicket. Why has no effort been made to provide a cycle lane adjacent to this road which is the most logical/direct/shortest route between Horndean and Havant ? There is plenty of unused land imediately adjacent to the road.
