Get your Easter event licensed
Thursday 4th of March 2010
East Hampshire District Council has issued a timely reminder to organisers of public events to check they have the right licence before holding events over the Easter holidays.
Events including the sale of alcohol, music, dancing and late night refreshments must be authorised by a licence or a Temporary Event Notice.

Angela Howes, Principal Licensing Officer, said organisers need to check the activities and hours they require are covered by a licence.
If not, there is a simple procedure to obtain a Temporary Event Notice. However, at least ten working days' notice must be given.
The final date for giving notice for Easter festivities will be 18 March as the council offices are closed from 2 April to 5 April. Forms are available on the website, the cost is £21 and you can call the licensing team on 01730 234389 for further advice.
