Community forum to discuss local transport

A plan to provide community transport throughout the district will be discussed at the next Community Forum meeting, to be held in Horndean.
Sarah Hobbs, Community Access Officer, will give a progress update on the initiative at the meeting on Tuesday 9 June, starting at 6.30pm.
Members of the public and councillors will have the opportunity to look at various options at a workshop, expected to start at 7.30pm
The Forum will consider the use of Developers' Contributions for three projects in the area.
Horndean Parish Council hopes to put £33,000 toward the expansion of sporting facilities within Jubilee Field, Horndean, and £11,180 for work on the walls at St Giles Churchyard, in Blendworth.
Meanwhile Clanfield Parish Council hopes to use £810 for three oak benches at Peel Park, Clanfield.
The Forum will also consider an application from the 1st Horndean Scout Group for a £2,000 grant toward essential maintenance of the Scout building and from 3rd Horndean Guides for £1,000 toward the cost of sending 26 Guides on an overseas trip.
The Forum will also be asked to approve appointments to outside bodies.
The meeting will be held at 6.30pm on Tuesday 9 June at the SF Block, Horndean Technology College, Barton Cross, Horndean, PO8 9PQ.
