Public Group active 7 months agoGuildford’s new live entertainment venue
The £26 million new building has been developed as a state-of-the-art entertainment, conference and hospitality venue for Guildford. It will be operated by HQ Theatres, which already provides quality entertainment and dining, conferencing and banqueting opportunities at eight venues in the south of England. HQ Theatres is part of the Qdos Entertainment group.
Main Hall
For a standing and seated event the venue will have a capacity of 1,700 or 1,000 for seated events, and this flexibility will help ensure that the programme is as broad as possible.
The Main Hall will benefit from the most sophisticated acoustic installation to ensure a natural sound. Complementing the comfortable seats which provide unparalleled views, and modern air conditioning, the acoustic environment will ensure G Live sets the standard for the finest live entertainment in Surrey.
Studio space
A flexible 100-seat studio space will be ideally suited for small performances and functions and for rehearsal and practice.
Food and drink
The all-day Cafè-Bar adjacent to London Road will serve quality sandwiches and light meals, as well as hot and cold drinks. The quality Cafè-Bar service will continue until performance time, thus providing a one-stop destination for a perfect night out.
Programme
The programme will include top rock and pop concerts as well as a wide range of comedy, classical music, family shows and dance, ensuring there is something to suit all tastes and that Guildford will have a venue of truly national stature – sign up to receive updates to ensure you never miss your favourite artists and the best seats in the house.
