We are a friendly local club of mixed ages and abilities and welcome new members interested in photography whatever their experience.
Our weekly Wednesday meetings include a mix of presentations, competitions and practical sessions with occasional social events.

On Wednesday 4th September Alton Camera Club will be opening their new season, and are especially looking for new members to come along and discover what the club has to offer.
Meetings are held weekly from September to April at Alton College, and cover a wide range of topics and activities including practical sessions, invited speakers, and competitions plus general advice on cameras and techniques.
The club caters for the complete range of experience of photographers, from those who are completely new to photography through to those with many years of experience.
During the season there will be opportunities for members to try their hand at a range of practical sessions such as night photography, studio portraiture (with lights and models provided), and still life and close up images, with plenty of advice on hand on how to create outstanding images.
There will also be sessions on photo editing, as well as guest speakers talking about subjects as varied as wildlife, photogr aphing military aircraft, and a trip around the Hebrides.
The meeting on the 4th September will provide a more detailed overview of the whole season, and gives an excellent opportunity for prospective members to come along for free and find out more about the club and all it has to offer anybody with an interest in photography.
