Town Mayor’s Charities to Benefit from Quiz Night

Alton’s Town Mayor will be turning the tables again on residents when instead of residents asking her questions, she is holding a Charity Quiz Night where residents will be the ones expected to provide all the answers.
Planned for 7.30pm on Thursday 15th November at Alton Assembly Rooms, teams can compete for cash prizes, enjoy a Hot Supper, Cash Bar and Raffle.
Cllr Hodder said:
“Since it was established two years ago The Town Mayor’s Quiz Night has become a highlight of the Mayoral year, and a great way to raise funds for the Mayor’s Charities.
“My charities this year are Wessex Cancer Trust and The League of Friends at Alton Community Hospital and I am keen to raise as much as I can for them during my term. So come along – fun guaranteed!”
On this occasion Quizmaster Mike Dicker will be asking the questions rather than Town Mayor Sue Hodder.
Application forms for teams, which can be from clubs, work or pubs, are available from the Town Hall or the Assembly Rooms and must be submitted by 9th November.
Entry is £7.50 per person, to include a hot supper. Max 6 per team.
