Sporty tots tutored by TPS teenagers
Some young sports stars of the future have been put through their paces by Petersfield pupils as the town gears up for the Olympics.
Students in years 8, 9 and 10 on the Sports Leaders course at The Petersfield School coached pupils in Years Reception, 1 and 2 from Petersfield Infant School this week.
Led by PE teacher, Natasha Bullock, the Sports Leaders paired up and set up skills stations to teach a group of pupils for 10 minutes, before the pupils moved on to the next station.
The Sports Leaders spend one lunchtime a week working on leadership skills, and this was the first time that they had coached on their own.
Head of PE Alastair Clewley said, “They did a fantastic job – all went smoothly and the young players were clearly enjoying themselves. Well done!”
