Last May The Strawbs put on a fantastic show and enchanted the audience at Grayshott Village Hall with tales and songs from their wonderful back catalogue.
We hardly dare ask them if they would come and play for us again but sure enough they have agreed and we anticipate another absorbing and delightful night of entertainment from the masters of Folk/Rock.
In the intervening 9 months the band have released not one but TWO new CDs; “Hero and Heroine in Ascencia” is a re-make of their classic 80s album whilst “Acoustic Gold” re-visits and re-works some of Strawbs’ finest songs with the current acoustic line up of Dave Cousins, Dave Lambert and Chas Cronk. They have also toured extensively across North America.
It is a great honour for Grayshott Folk Club to host The Strawbs Acoustic again. If you missed it last time, don’t make the same mistake again!
