Events
East Hampshire is a busy and vibrant district with plenty of events to suit all.
Find an event
There are lots of ways for you to find events.
On the events homepage you will find 10 forthcoming events, and at the bottom of the page you can choose to see either:
- all this month’s events
- all last month’s events
- all next months’ events
When you find an event you are interested in, click on the headline to see full details of the event – including a map of where it is being held, and the ability to get directions to it (where a full address and postcode has been submitted).
You can also see events on the town and village pages. On the Alton page you will see events for Alton, you will get Petersfield events on the Petersfield page, and so on.
You can also use a keyword search in the search box on the top right hand side of page, and narrow it down to events (see Search help for more).
Adding events
Anyone can submit an event. Simply go the events homepage and click on ‘Tell us about your event’ in the ‘Event calendar’ box on the top right.
The form will ask you to fill in various fields, including:
- title
- description
- cost
- address and postcode
- time
- your name and contact details (in case we have any queries)
‘I want to’ box
As well as on the events homepage, you will find the link to add events across many other areas of the site in the ‘I want to’ box.
It contains many common tasks, including
- Submit a news story
- Tell us about your event
- Add a review
- Report a problem
- Go to your profile
What kind of events are suitable
easthampshire.org is a community website, so you are welcome to add any news the community may be interested in. However we reserve the right to refuse or delete events with unsuitable or offensive content.
Because this is a website for East Hampshire, the story should be either based in East Hampshire, about someone from East Hampshire, or of signficant interest specifically to people in East Hampshire.
The easthampshire.org team reserves the right to have the final say about what should be included on the site.
